Al- As you know I have not been able to locate my GGGF James Telford since t he mid 1830s.
I would appreciate if you kept an eye open for any Telfords. In particular , Mary Telford married Robert McDowell abt 1830. Mary was the sister of John Telford of = McCabes List. John married Jane Humphries d/o George Humphries in 1839 in the Anglican P arish of 20 March. The Humphries came from Co Cavan in 1835 to Huntley.
William and Margaret (nee Kennedy) McDowell , their families, and Mary's s ister Margaret Lucas came to Huntley in 1822 from Co Cavan. The McDowells squatt ed in Clarendon Twp and settled there in the late 1820s. Robin and Mary McDow ell were successful inn-keepers in Clarendon from the 1830s.
In the 1830s, The Telford siblings farmed in Bristol Twp. Many family relationships developed between the Telfords, McDowells, Kennedys, Connollys and Lathams.
