  • Notes
    • Renfrew Mercury Apr 5 1901 For the past year, Miss Jessie Mayhew, dau of teh late Joseph Mayhew of Ad maston, has been in failing health. With the idea that the change wou ld do her good, she went to Sault Ste Marie, where she resided with her si ster Mrs John Joyce. But the inroads of teh disease, tuberculosis of t eh stomach, were too far advanced for change of climate to effect any cu re and the young lady slowy and painlessly wasted away. The end came on F riday. The body was brought down to Admaston, and the funeral took pla ce form teh home of her brother, Mr John Mayhew to the Admaston cemete ry on Sunday aft, when a large concourse of friends testified their sympat hy for a family which has been bereaved within the last three kyears by t he death of three of teh brohters and sisters - Mrs A Joyce, Joseph and n ow Jessie, the son dying just exactly twelve months after the father.
