Cpl. David Orval Hamilton of Cobden was a farmer at the time of enlistment, age 20 and died of gun shot wounds on 30 September 1918, age 22. He was the son of Samuel Hamilton and Margaret Jane LeBarron of Cobden, Ontario and served in the 38th Battalion of the Canadian Infantry.
