Pte. Alfred Patterson of Cobden was a farmer when he enlisted on Jan 10, 1918 age 27 and killed in action on September 2, 1918, age 28 in France. He was the son of Hugh Patterson and Honora Madigan of Bromley Twp. Pte. Patterson served in the 38th Battalion, Canadian Infantry.
