    • !Source: 1. 1871 census ross twp Renfrew Mercury Aug 7 1896 On Saturday morning, Mr Samuel Jeffrey, Sr passed to his reward after a f ew weeks illness. Seventy-six years was his pilgrimage here. And on Sund ay morning, Mrs R Richards, a dau fo Mr F Guest, also passed away at a mu ch younger age. Both were laid away in teh cemetery at Haley's follow ed to the grave by many friends and aquaintances. Thus friend after frie nd departs.
