  Listed in British Home Children Registry. b. 1900 England Sending organization: Catholic Sailed on Corsican from Liverpool to Quebec arriving Apr 30, 1911, age 11. Frank Whitford came to Canada c1911 from England with a group of British Home Children. I don't know where he was placed. He enlisted into the army at age 16. His residence was listed as North Bay at that time and next of kin was an Aunt Annie Honor in London, ENG. Interestingly, the British 1901 Census shows him at age 2 living with a nurse Annie Honor. She had 5 children from age 10 to 3 1/2 living in her household - all different surnames and they're relationship to head of household was listed as nurse child. In 1921 census he is living with Frank & Margaret (Kennelly) Sheedy of Bromley Twp., and listed as helper. His cause of death is suicide as result of premature dementia. It is unknown what he endured as a child or in the war and sad that his young life came to such an end.
