      Flt. Sgt. Robert Hector Wilson, son of Hugh Wilson and Martha Jean Eckford, was born on 4 Oct 1917 in Westmeath Twp., just outside of Cobden, killed in air operations on 6 Sep 1941 over Oldebroek, Holland aged 23, and was buried in Oldebroek General Cemetery, Oldebroek, Netherlands. He was serving in the 10 (R.A.F.) Sqdn. Royal Canadian Air Force, Service No. R54053. A memorial stone is located in Cobden Union Cemetery. Flt. Sgt. Wilson was a brother of Annie (Mrs. Wesley Dean), Lois (Mrs. Lloyd McIntyre), Donald, Herbie & Wm Elmer Wilson.
