Notes - Minor Lowe and Lewis Lowe were twins. They came to Manitoba with their pa rents as young lads. Minor married - Carrie Gilmour.
Minor Lowe became an expert with hammer and saw, an answer to the difficul ties pioneers were having in securing both materials and carpenters for buildi ng the homes and barns, by now replacing "soddies" and "shanties".
After the railroad was built and a good grain market established, more la nd was cultivated and the demand for farm implements increased so Minor opened an implement warehouse for Frost and Wood Co. As a side line he went into re al estate partnership with Mr. A.R. Higgins. Later he went farther west and homesteaded in the Grandview District. Following this venture he open ed a real estate office with the Kent Realty and Investment Co. at Craik, Sask.
