Notes - MRS. WM. WOOD - (1958) The death occurred on Sunday, December 14th, at the Pembroke Cottage Hospi tal of Mrs. Wm. S. Wood in her 39th year. Mrs. Wood, the former Merle Elo da Dean, was the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Emerson Dean of Pakenham. S he was born in Bromley Township on March 16th, 1919, and moved with her pa rents to Pakenham in her early childhood. She received her education in t he public and high schools there. On April 23rd, 1942 she married Willi am Wood, taking up residence for a time in Ottawa and going to Cobden in 1 946 where she resided until her death. Surviving besides her husband, is o ne daughter, Sandra, and one son, Steven, and her parents. The funeral ser vice was conducted Wednesday afternoon at St. Paul's Anglican Church, Cobd en. Rev. C. C. Watson officiated. Pallbearers were Irvin and Wesley Dea n, E. D. Hill, Emerson Kohlsmith, Kenneth Eckford of Cobden and Robert Coc hran of Almonte. The flower bearers were Claude Oattes, Donald Dean, Hilli ard Dean and Osborne Bowes. Burial was in the family plot in Pakenham ceme tery.
DEATHS WOOD, Merle Eloda - On Sunday, December 14, 1958, at Cobden, Merle Eloda D ean, wife of William S. Wood, in her 39th year. Resting at the Fraser Morr is Funeral Home, Cobden. Funeral service to be held Wednesday at 2 p.m., A nglican Church. Interment in United Cemetery, Pakenham.
MRS. WILLIAM S. WOOD The sudden death on Sunday, December 14th of Mrs. William S. Wood of Cobd en and formerly Miss Merle Eloda Dean, only daughter of Mr. Emerson Dean a nd his wife, Elizabeth Stanley of Pakenham Township, has cast a gloom ov er this community where she went to school and was so well and favourab ly known. She was in her 39th year. Surviving besides her sorrowing husba nd are two children, Sandra, aged 10, and Stephen, aged 5 years. The funer al took place from the Fraser Morris Funeral Home to, the Anglican Chur ch for service at 2 p.m. Interment was in the Union Cemetery, Pakenham.
